Support & Assistance
At Balfour Beatty Communities, we work hard to support our military families. Below are details describing various programs that we have created to make your stay in our community more enjoyable.
Deployed Spouse Program
We understand that various circumstances can make it difficult to do certain tasks. If your spouse is deployed and you would like assistance to perform a few tasks, please call our Community Management Office and we will be happy to assist. Extended lawn care, even for fenced-in yards is included in the program including weeding flowerbeds, along with light bulb, furnace filter exchanges and battery changes for smoke detectors. Activities and events geared towards spouses and children of deployed service members are also available through the LifeWorks program.
Self Help Store
Located at 603 Juniper Street (Maintenance Dept., across from Community Center)
Monday – Friday: 0730 – 1630
Saturday: 0800 – 1200
In order to assist our residents with household tasks, we have established a Self Help Store. The Self Help Store provides equipment and supplies at no additional cost to residents.
Items may include: personal protective equipment (disposable ear plugs, dust masks, goggles), grass seed, top soil, bark or bagged mulch, leaf rakes, spade shovels, lawn mower (manual), weed trimmers (electric), manual hedge trimmers, yard sprinklers (hose type), garden hoses, spray nozzles, wheelbarrow, fertilizer, compact/fluorescent light bulbs (bulb or bulb exchange), HVAC filters, range hood filters (replacement type), touch-up paint (resident to provide small container to transport), disposable paint brushes, batteries for CO2 detectors, batteries for garage door openers (as applicable), etc.
